The logistics of supplying fresh food to millions of customers is an incredibly complex business which the UK’s traditional Big Four of Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda and Morrisons have perfected over a number of decades.

Their networks of omnichannel supermarkets use existing stores close to customers, optimised supply chains and years of data on shopping habits to fulfil physical and online sales whilst also minimising food waste.
