
The latest Kantar grocery figures have revealed that supermarket sales over the last 3 months have increased more than any point in the last 26 years.
Grocery sales rose 14.3% in the 12 weeks to May 17, with online shopping representing a peak for the sector at 11.5% market share.
Kantar revealed that shoppers were making fewer store visits but with bigger basket sizes.
Despite the positive figures, Kantar highlighted that grocers might be losing out on reduced sales from the on the go snack and drink trade
